Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator

We're looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator to join a busy workshop in Cleckheaton.

Full Time, Permanent
From £15.00 - £17.50 per hour based on skill level & experience, Plus Bonus Scheme

Please note: you must be authorised to work in the UK

Our client has a full-time position available for a motivated, skilled Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator with experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

This position requires a confident candidate who can use their own initiative and be able to work to a high standard unsupervised.

Competitive rates of pay are available and will be based on skills, experience, and ability.

Requirements:

  • A basic understanding to read drawings.
  • Welding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Be fully competent in the use of all machinery (press brake, rollers, guillotines, saw, hand tools, etc.).
  • Fabricate sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling safely and efficiently.
  • Perform grinding, welding, and polishing to produce high-quality finished products.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • TIG / MIG weld to a high standard.
  • Full UK driving license preferred.
  • Experience preferred.

Working Hours:

  • 39 hours per week.
  • Monday - Thursday: 7.00am to 4.00pm
  • Friday: 7.00am to 12.00pm.
  • Break Times: Two 15-minute paid breaks and 30 minutes unpaid dinner time 12:30pm - 1:00pm.
  • Holidays: 33 days a year including stats.
