Alcester

Monday to Thursday: Monday to Wednesday 16:30 - 02:30 and Thursday 16:30 - 01:30

Salary: Up to £40,000, dependent on experience

Our client is a precision engineering specialist that manufactures custom products to the energy, defence and aerospace industry sectors. They are currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join their team. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be manufacturing and finishing custom sheet metal products to tight tolerances.

Sheet Metal Worker Responsibilities

  • Work to technical drawings and to tight tolerances
  • Use measuring equipment to inspect and verify components against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Polish metal components to the required surface finish.
  • Dress and blend welds to customer and engineering specifications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support a culture of quality and operational excellence.

Sheet Metal Worker Requirements

  • Previous experience in sheet metal finishing, fettling, deburring, polishing or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous experience working to tight tolerances.
  • Experienced in using precision measurement tools.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to delivering right-first-time quality and minimising waste.
