Sheet Metal Worker

Temporary

Kinetic Industrial are looking to recruit a Sheet Metal Operative to join a large, well established, manufacturing company based in Oldham. This is a hands-on role within an engineering and manufacturing environment, with a particular focus on operating Press Brake machinery alongside other metalworking and fabrication duties. This is a temporary to permanent role working Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, and Friday 8am to 1pm - early dart Friday! As the Semi Skilled Sheet metal Op you will be tasked with:

  • Operating Press Brake machinery
  • Fettling materials
  • Deburring
  • Operating saw and drilling machines
  • Assisting within the fabrication workshop
  • General warehouse duties
  • Moving and handling products and materials
  • Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a clean working area

What you need to bring to the role:

  • Previous Press Brake experience is essential
  • Experience operating saw and drilling machinery
  • Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Practical and hands-on approach
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Able to reliably commute to Shaw, Oldham
