Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager (Pan Wales)
Location: Flexible with a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office (offices based in Cardiff, Swansea, Rhyl, Felinheli and Wrexham).
Salary: £36,745 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shelter Cymru is looking for an individual with experience of working in public affairs and campaigns to join them in this newly created role.
About The Role
The Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager will lead Shelter Cymru's engagement work with external stakeholders such as political figures, contribute to the running of campaigns, and line manage two members of staff.
At a time when the housing emergency in Wales is negatively impacting people and communities across the whole of the country this is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of the 'Fight for Home', and to be directly involved in securing the changes necessary to ensure everyone in Wales can access a safe, secure, suitable and genuinely affordable home.
You will work alongside a range of expert colleagues in Shelter Cymru's Campaigns Team, including those focused on external communications, policy development and lived experience engagement.
About You
You will be an experienced campaigner with a track record of delivering impactful campaigns and securing changes to policy and legislation in Wales. Ideally, you will have direct experience of working with the Senedd and the Welsh Government, accompanied by an understanding of the role that public campaigns can play in driving change. Experience of working in campaigns or advocacy for an organisation that offers front line service provision would also be welcomed.
