Location: Cambridgeshire (with regional travel)

Salary: Competitive + Company Car/Allowance + Benefits

We're supporting a major infrastructure business that is looking to appoint a SHEQ Advisor to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, partnering with operational teams to promote high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys spending time on site, building strong relationships with operational teams and helping to create a positive safety culture. You'll provide practical SHEQ support, carry out audits and inspections, assist with investigations and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across multiple sites.

The Key Responsibilities of the SHEQ Advisor:

  • Provide SHEQ support across a range of operational sites and projects.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Review risk assessments and method statements.
  • Coach and support operational teams to promote best practice.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of SHEQ management systems.

The SHEQ Advisor will have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
  • Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities or another high-risk industry.
  • A sound understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to influence and support operational teams.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
