SHEQ Advisor - Civils & Utilities
Location: London / South East
Salary: Competitive + package
Type: Full-time, permanent
Overview
We're working with a civils and utilities contractor delivering works across London and the South East. They're looking for a SHEQ Advisor to support operational teams and ensure compliance across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SHEQ support across civils and utilities projects (streetworks, reinstatement, infrastructure)
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company procedures, and client standards
- Support site teams with RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work
- Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders on SHEQ matters
- Monitor performance and produce reports on KPIs and trends

Requirements
- Experience in SHEQ / HSEQ role within civils, utilities, or infrastructure
- Good knowledge of streetworks, utilities, or highways environments
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence site teams
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- NRSWA / Streetworks knowledge
- Experience working on frameworks or for Tier 1 contractors
- ISO standards awareness (9001, 14001, 45001)
