SHEQ Advisor
MCS Group is recruiting an SHEQ Advisor for our client, a growing construction company delivering projects across Northern Ireland and the wider UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to support live projects while contributing to the company's wider HSEQ systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HSEQ advice and support across live construction projects.
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and HSEQ monitoring.
- Review RAMS, COSHH assessments, lifting plans, and safe systems of work.
- Monitor high-risk activities and support compliance across projects.
- Support subcontractor documentation, inductions, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns.
- Assist with accident, near-miss, and environmental investigations.
- Track and close out HSEQ actions through Procore.
- Support ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems and certification audits.
- Contribute to HSEQ reporting, KPIs, compliance reviews, and continual improvement.
- Travel regularly to project sites across NI and the wider UK.

Requirements
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction qualification.
- 2+ years' HSEQ or Health & Safety experience within construction.
- Strong practical experience on live construction sites.
- Experience with inspections, RAMS, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of UK/NI construction H&S requirements.
- Working towards NEBOSH Diploma, Level 6, or equivalent.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Strong communication skills and confidence challenging non-compliance.
- ISO, auditing, SafeContractor, or Procore experience would be advantageous.
