As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and driven SHEQ Co-Ordinator to support the effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of BJF Group's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. The SHEQ Co-ordinator is fundamental in the operation and co-ordination of all compliance and safety systems ensuring they are managed and kept up to date.

Role Responsibilities

The role provides administrative, operational and compliance support across all SHEQ activities, helping to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, client and organisational requirements. The SHEQ Co-ordinator will coordinate audits, inspections, training, incident reporting, performance monitoring and management system administration while promoting a positive SHEQ culture across the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of company Health & Safety procedures and standards as well as environmental management arrangements.
  • Assist with the administration of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) within HandsHQ
  • Coordinate accident, incident, hazard observation and near miss reporting. Within MyCompliance
  • Maintain waste management and environmental compliance records and assist with sustainability and carbon reduction reporting initiatives.
  • Monitor environmental legislation updates and communicate relevant changes.
  • Maintain quality records, registers and document control systems and assist in managing non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
  • Support QM with client quality assurance requirements and project compliance reviews.
  • Assist with quality performance reporting and trend analysis.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.
  • Support the QM in external certification and client audits.
  • Maintain company training matrices and competency records and coordinate SHEQ training and refresher requirements.
  • Assist in distributing Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts and SHEQ communications.
  • Produce monthly SHEQ performance reports and compile KPI and trend data for Head of SHEQ reviews.
  • Support preparation of SHEQ statistics, presentations and performance summaries.
  • Manage and monitor all company compliance systems

Requirements

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001,14001 & 45001
  • Experience within a SHEQ, Health & Safety or Compliance role
  • NEBOSH (desired)
