Avonside Energy also designs and installs solar PV systems for new housing developments and large-scale rooftop or ground-mount installations for industrial, agricultural, and commercial clients. With a strong track record across the UK, the team focuses on reliable, cost-effective renewable technologies that support long-term sustainability goals.

Role Description

We are looking for a proactive and organised SHEQ & Compliance Co-ordinator to support the continued development of our SHEQ and compliance processes. You’ll help bring together information, maintain accurate records, monitor performance and support the continuous improvement of our systems and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of SHEQ systems and processes
  • Collecting, analysing and reporting SHEQ and compliance data
  • Maintaining accurate records, documentation and reporting
  • Monitoring actions and helping ensure they are completed
  • Supporting Health & Safety, environmental, quality and compliance activities
  • Working collaboratively with teams and departments across the business
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
  • Supporting the safety and wellbeing of our employees and maintaining high standards for our customers and end users

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, asks questions and is comfortable constructively challenging how things are done.

You don’t necessarily need to know everything from day one. What matters to us is having the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a NEBOSH Certificate, or be working towards one
  • Have completed relevant Health & Safety training
  • Have knowledge of IOSH principles and standards
  • Have experience within SHEQ, Health & Safety, quality, compliance or a related role
  • Be confident using Excel, SharePoint, Teams and other business systems
  • Be comfortable collecting, analysing and presenting data from multiple sources
  • Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Be able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Communicate confidently and positively with people at all levels
  • Be proactive, curious and willing to take responsibility for getting things done
