About The Role
SHEQ Coordinator
Location: Widnes or Bromborough
Reports to: Regional SHEQ Manager
At Panda, we value waste. That means finding smarter, safer, and more sustainable ways to manage materials, protect our people, and keep our operations running responsibly.
We are looking for a SHEQ Coordinator to join our SHEQ team, supporting our operations across Widnes or Bromborough. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their career in safety, health, environment, and quality within a busy, hands-on operational environment.
As SHEQ Coordinator, you will work closely with the Regional SHEQ Manager and operational teams to help drive a culture where health, safety, and environmental standards are never compromised. You will support reporting, investigations, documentation, audits, compliance checks, and management systems, helping teams understand their responsibilities and take action where needed.
This SHEQ Coordinator role would suit someone who is organised, confident, self-motivated, and comfortable working with both site teams and management to improve safety and environmental performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
As SHEQ Coordinator, you will:
- Support the Regional SHEQ Manager in delivering SHEQ objectives across the business.
- Help drive SHEQ plans and activities to improve health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
- Ensure accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities are reported and investigated in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accident reports, incident files, investigation records, corrective actions, and related SHEQ documentation.
- Produce monthly SHEQ reports covering health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Build strong working relationships with operational leaders and site teams.
- Support the development and review of SHEQ documents, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH assessments.
- Help develop and maintain local management systems.
- Take responsibility for document control across management system records.
- Carry out and record environmental checks across operational sites.
- Organise external surveys and assessments where required, ensuring actions are recorded and followed up.
- Maintain contractor control records and ensure required documentation is kept up to date.
- Manage waste off-taker destination records and ensure supporting documents are maintained.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
