About the Role

Do you want to work for a worldwide, market leading Company? We have an exciting opportunity for you at RSK to join our existing Safety, Health, Environment and Quality department, working from one of our offices in the UK and providing SHEQ leadership for the Environmental Solutions Division.

This is a full time role, working 40 hours per week.

The Environmental Solutions Division is a diverse operational business delivering environmental, infrastructure and engineering projects across the UK. The teams work in a mixture of laboratory, construction, industrial, utilities and field-based environments, supporting sectors including water, renewable energy, infrastructure and environmental management.

The successful candidate will be able to contribute their ideas to the work we do. It’s an opportunity to make a real, practical difference to the business from the very start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading SHEQ for the division, supported by a small team of SHEQ professionals for whom you will have line management responsibilities
  • Implementing SHEQ policies and procedures both on site and in the office
  • Developing and delivering SHEQ divisional strategy and associated initiatives, with input from key stakeholders
  • Deliver divisional SHEQ compliance, advice, guidance with applicable legislation and industry best practice
  • Provision of SHEQ advice to workforce and contract support to operations, including occasional deployment onto project sites.
  • Managing and delivering the SHEQ onboarding of newly acquired businesses, with occasional support in delivering due diligence at pre acquisition stage.

Person Specification

  • Proven previous experience in a senior health and safety position, with supplemental experience in environmental and quality.
  • Experience in working in civils, construction, oil and gas or other similarly high-risk environments
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience of work on international projects
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate, ideally L5 or L6 qualification (i.e. Diploma)
  • CMIOSH status, or working towards
  • Experience in working with ISO standards
  • Travel (UK, and internationally) for up to 50% of workload
  • Must hold a full UK drivers licence.
