We're now looking for an exceptional SHEQ Manager to join our Group Compliance team and take ownership of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality across a portfolio of businesses within your region.

The Role
As the regional SHEQ lead, you will be the primary point of accountability for all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality activities across a portfolio of Ranger businesses.
Working within our hub-and-spoke compliance model, you'll partner with operational leaders, support acquired businesses, maintain critical certifications, and drive a culture where quality, safety and continuous improvement are everyone's responsibility.
You'll spend time across your region, building relationships, supporting teams, conducting audits, identifying opportunities, and ensuring our high standards are consistently achieved.
What You'll Be Doing
Driving Quality Excellence
- Lead, develop and continuously improve our Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with:
- ISO 9001
- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- Relevant fire and security industry standards.
- Deliver internal audits and coordinate external certification audits.
- Analyse performance data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage non-conformances and corrective actions to drive exceptional standards.
- Ensure compliance documentation remains accurate, audit-ready and effective.

Maintaining Industry Compliance
- Protect And Enhance Key Certifications Including
- BAFE
- NSI
- SSAIB
- Other relevant industry accreditations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
- Lead interactions with certification bodies, regulators and customers.
- Ensure all businesses operate in line with applicable fire, safety and compliance requirements.
- Provide regular performance and compliance reporting to the Group Compliance Director.
Championing Health, Safety & Environment
- Act as the regional competent person for health and safety.
- Provide practical and expert advice to business leaders
- Support The Development And Implementation Of
- Risk Assessments
- Method Statements
- Safe Systems of Work.
- Drive environmental compliance initiatives and sustainability improvements.
- Promote a proactive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the region.
Leading Continuous Improvement
- Deliver SHEQ training, coaching and awareness programmes.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
- Promote best practice and innovation across Ranger businesses.
- Support operational teams in achieving excellence in service delivery.
Managing Risk
- Identify, assess and mitigate SHEQ-related risks.
- Contribute to the Group Risk Register and strategic risk planning.
- Support business units in implementing robust controls and preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance risks are effectively managed within a growing acquisition-led environment.
Supporting Growth & Integration
- Act as the SHEQ subject matter expert during acquisitions and onboarding activities.
- Support compliance assessments for newly acquired businesses.
- Help embed Ranger standards, processes and culture across new entities.
- Work collaboratively with Compliance, Operations, HR and Leadership teams on ESG and sustainability initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within SHEQ, Compliance or Quality Management.
- Strong background within the fire and security industry or a closely related sector.
- Proven experience managing Quality Management Systems or Integrated Management Systems.
- Experience working with BAFE, NSI, SSAIB or similar certification schemes
- Strong Understanding Of
- Fire safety legislation

- Risk management and auditing principles.

Qualifications
Essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Desirable
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate
- ISO Lead Auditor Qualification
- Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, CQI or equivalent professional body
