SHEQ Manager (Groundworks / Civils)
£52,000 - £56,000 + Training + Progression + Company Car + Expensed UK Travel + Overtime + Company Benefits
Location: London (UK Wide Travel)
Are you an experienced SHEQ Manager with a strong background in groundworks, concrete and civils, looking to take ownership of health, safety, environmental and quality standards across major UK projects?
This company is a specialist civils and groundworks contractor delivering concrete, rebar and structural works for clients across the power, industrial, commercial and residential sectors. Due to continued growth across the UK, they are now looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with an experienced professional who can take ownership of SHEQ standards across their projects.
In this role, you will oversee SHEQ performance across groundworks and civils projects throughout the UK, working closely with site and project teams to ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and quality. You will have the autonomy to identify areas for improvement, implement best practice and drive a strong safety culture, while benefiting from ongoing training and clear progression opportunities.

The Role:
- Take ownership of SHEQ performance across groundworks and civils projects throughout the UK
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Develop, implement and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures and best practice
- Oversee risk assessments, RAMS and accident / incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company SHEQ standards
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors to improve SHEQ performance
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Produce SHEQ reports and provide regular updates to senior management
The Person:
- NEBOSH qualified
- Previous experience in a SHEQ management or senior SHEQ position
- Strong background in civils / groundworks / construction environments
- Willing and able to travel UK-wide
