We are looking for a proactive SHEQ Officer / Manager to support our panel-building businesses from our Gloucester office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for either an experienced SHEQ Manager or an ambitious SHEQ Officer/Advisor looking to develop into a broader management position.

Working alongside the Head of SHEQ, you will help drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance and promote a positive Safety, Health, Environment and Quality culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain SHEQ management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformities, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Work with operational and project teams to embed SHEQ best practice.
  • Review and support preparation of risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments and quality documentation.
  • Assist with SHEQ training, inductions, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
  • Monitor corrective actions and support continual improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse SHEQ data and contribute to management reporting.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and share lessons learned across the business.

About You

We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their SHEQ career. You may already be operating at management level or looking to take the next step in your professional development.

Ideally, You Will Have

  • SHEQ experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, utilities or a similar operational environment.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, preferably with Internal Auditor Competencies.
  • NEBOSH General with ambitions for Diploma / Degree level qualification.
  • Up to date CPD at Tech IOSH membership level with ambitions for or working towards Cert IOSH.
