Murphy is recruiting for a SHES Advisor

To support infrastructure projects in the South, based out of our London office.

A Day In The Life Of a SHES Advisor

  • Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, and Quality Management Systems to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
  • Carrying out inductions.
  • Producing monthly statistics.
  • Championing Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme).
  • Carrying out and documenting site audits and inspections.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health, and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance.
  • Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records.
  • Investigating, logging, and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances.
  • Completing all necessary report forms.
  • Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set up appropriate controls.
  • Ensuring all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available.
  • Preparing and presenting toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
  • Reviewing subcontractor documentation.

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma in Health & Safety.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on civils and renewables projects.
  • Solar Farm Construction experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams.
  • Good IT skills with a high attention to detail.
  • A flexible and proactive approach.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
