Make a Difference Every Night

Are you an experienced Support Worker or Senior Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career?
We're looking for a compassionate, reliable, and confident Shift Coordinator to join the team at Lighthouse Care in Manchester, supporting adults with complex mental health needs, alcohol and substance misuse, and other complex support needs.

As Shift Coordinator, you'll play an important role in ensuring the service runs safely and effectively throughout the night. You'll support your colleagues, coordinate the shift, and help ensure the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred care.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, supporting others, and making a genuine difference to people's lives.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Shift Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate the smooth running of the service throughout the night.
  • Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to colleagues on shift.
  • Ensure care plans and risk management plans are followed appropriately.
  • Support colleagues with key working responsibilities and the delivery of person-centred support.
  • Safely administer and record medication in line with care plans and company procedures.
  • Monitor care standards and ensure records and documentation are completed accurately.
  • Complete effective handovers and communicate important information to the wider team.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents, concerns, or changes in people's needs.
  • Promote safeguarding, health, and safety, and best practice at all times.
  • Support the people we care for to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and recovery goals.
  • Encourage engagement with recovery programmes and meaningful activities.
  • Escalate concerns appropriately to the General Manager or on-call manager.
  • Help create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for both colleagues and the people we support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
