Job Title: Electrical Craft Team Member (Shifts)

Department: Hot Rolled Products

Salary: £33,859 plus 30% shift allowance

Location: Port Talbot (SA13)

Closing Date: 11th August 2026

Interviews: W/C 17th August 2026

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Shift Craftsperson to join our Hot Rolled Products team in Port Talbot. This is a shift-based role that offers variety, challenge and the opportunity to work with advanced electrical systems in one of the UK’s leading manufacturing environments.

What you will do

As part of our multi-skilled engineering team, you’ll support the safe and efficient running of electrical assets across the plant. Your role will focus on reducing downtime, enhancing reliability and contributing to long-term performance improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults across production areas
  • Carrying out planned, reactive and shutdown maintenance activities
  • Interpreting wiring diagrams and working with PLCs, drives, and AC/DC motor systems
  • Recording work accurately using SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems

What you will need

We’re seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Craft Team Member, who can thrive in a high-pressure, safety-critical environment. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • Time-served industrial electrical experience, ideally in heavy manufacturing
  • Competence in fault-finding, root cause analysis and relay control circuits
  • Confidence working at height or in confined spaces, following all safety procedures
  • Familiarity with low-voltage systems, variable speed drives and plant automation
