DS Smith is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Working 4 on 4 off shift rotation, you’ll be responsible for:

- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding, and repairs.
- Supporting the wider engineering team with mechanical breakdowns.
- Responding quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Carrying out electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs across site machinery and equipment.
- Supporting mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.
- Completing planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities to a high standard.
- Identifying recurring faults and contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Working safely in line with company procedures, risk assessments, and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities through the site’s maintenance management systems.
- Working closely with Production and Engineering colleagues to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Supporting engineering improvement projects and equipment upgrades where required.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety, and quality within the engineering environment.
