As a Shift Engineer
As a Shift Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the seamless operation of the hotel, ensuring every space, from guest suites to back-of-house systems, operates with precision and reliability. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplined role that requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a calm, solutions-focused mindset.
Working across a rotating shift pattern, you will be a consistent and dependable presence within the hotel, responding to maintenance needs, supporting operational efficiency, and helping create an environment where guests and colleagues can experience the property at its very best. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring guest comfort and operational continuity at all times.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and plant systems to maintain exceptional standards throughout the property.
- Work across multiple engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems, responding to any incidents with confidence and in line with procedures.
- Collaborate closely with all hotel departments, ensuring effective communication and seamless resolution of engineering-related matters.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, faults, and system performance throughout each shift.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support sustainable operations across the property.
- Uphold all health & safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors at all times.
