7:00am – 7:00pm | 4 Days On, 4 Days Off

We're working exclusively with a well-established industrial manufacturing business that is investing heavily in its engineering team. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a proactive Shift Engineer to join a high-performing operation where you'll be trusted to take ownership of the engineering function during your shift.
If you enjoy fault finding, solving problems quickly and working on a variety of automated production machinery, this could be exactly the challenge you're looking for.
The Role
Working on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern, you'll be the engineering lead on shift, responsible for maintaining production equipment and ensuring downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

You'll be involved in:
- Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Fault finding across automated production equipment
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Supporting production teams to maximise uptime
- Completing accurate maintenance records using CMMS
- Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently
We're looking for someone with:
- Multi-skilled engineering experience (Mechanical or Electrical bias considered)
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production, processing, logistics or automated environments
- The confidence to work independently and prioritise workloads
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- 18th Edition, IOSH, NEBOSH or similar
- Experience working with conveyors, automated machinery or industrial processing equipment
