Job Title: Shift Leader - Filling Department

Location: Telford

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Hours/Shift Pattern: 42 hours per week | 4 on 4 off (7-7) | Days & Nights


Are you an experienced people leader looking for your next challenge in food manufacturing?

We're looking for a proactive Shift Leader to join our Filling Department at Müller in Telford. In this role, you'll lead and support a production team to deliver safe, high-quality products while achieving performance targets across safety, quality, service, and cost. You'll play an important role in driving continuous improvement, developing your team, and maintaining high standards across the operation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead your shift team to achieve Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People objectives.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Support and prepare for BRCGS, customer, and internal audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and lead root cause problem-solving initiatives.
  • Manage team performance effectively, providing coaching, support, and development where needed.
  • Deliver clear and consistent communication through team briefs, updates, and engagement sessions.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating Müller values and behaviors.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one conversations and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality standards, and audit requirements.
  • Technical understanding of processing and filling equipment.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and Environmental standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:

Relevant technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
