Canary Wharf, London (E14)
£60,000 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Leader to join a leading provider of critical engineering services, working at a prestigious mission-critical site in Canary Wharf.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a critical facility, ensuring the highest levels of uptime, compliance, and service delivery.
The Role
- Lead the day-to-day engineering operations across a critical environment.
- Manage and support a team consisting of one M&E Shift Engineer and one ICT Engineer.
- Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Act as the first point of escalation for technical issues and site incidents.
- Liaise with clients, specialist contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with permit control, isolations, and safe systems of work.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Working Pattern
- Continental Shift Pattern (Days & Nights)
- 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
- On-site parking available.
About You
- Previous experience in a Shift Leader, Lead Engineer, or Supervisory role within a critical environment.
- Strong electrical or mechanical building services background.
- HV knowledge or experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience within a data centre would be advantageous, although engineers from other critical environments such as banking, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing are encouraged to apply.

Package
- Salary: £60,000
- Minimum of 20 days overtime available each year, primarily covering the opposite Shift Leader's annual leave.
- On-site parking.
