Shift Maintenance Engineer – Nights

Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer (Nights)
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £54,000 (including shift allowance) + annual bonus + excellent benefits
Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday PERM NIGHTS

Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Shift Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment, with ongoing investment and clear progression routes (including the potential to move into Lead Engineer).

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment—ensuring maximum uptime, reliability and performance on nights.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

  • Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory
  • Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias)

Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (single phase / three phase)
  • Experience with motors, inverters and reading/updating electrical & mechanical drawings
  • Mechanical competence with pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Confident working safely to site procedures (LOTO / Lock-off Tag-out) and H&S standards
  • Ability to support continuous improvement and carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Comfortable recording/analysing downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE
