Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician
Location: Hull
Salary: £47,500

The Opportunity
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in:
- Maintaining, servicing and repairing manufacturing plant and equipment to minimise production downtime.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective electrical and mechanical repairs across a wide range of production machinery.
- Supporting highly automated production equipment while developing your knowledge of modern Manufacturing 4.0 technologies.
- Recording faults, breakdowns and maintenance activities accurately using the CMMS system.
- Promoting safe working practices through risk assessments and compliance with company procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, increased reliability and enhanced production efficiency.
- Supporting the development of Apprentices and fellow Technicians through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinating and monitoring external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
- Carrying out planned inspections, preventative maintenance and equipment testing.

About You
We're looking for someone who can bring:
- Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- The client will consider candidates with either a mechanical or electrical maintenance bias.
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills across manufacturing plant and equipment.
- Experience working with both manual and highly automated production machinery.
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Awareness of PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit Engineering team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to continually learn, develop and share knowledge.
