Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our ASDA operation in Sherburn-in-Elmet. This is a full-time, permanent role, working a 4 on, 4 off night shift pattern (19:00 – 07:00), where you'll be responsible for leading warehouse operations, developing high-performing teams and ensuring operational, safety and customer targets are consistently achieved.
Working closely with operational support functions and site leadership teams, you'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence while creating a safe, engaging and productive working environment for colleagues.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead the warehouse operation throughout your shift, ensuring productivity, quality, service and customer KPI targets are consistently achieved while maintaining operational efficiency
- Develop and coach Team Leaders and warehouse colleagues, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
- Drive a strong health, safety and environmental culture, ensuring colleagues are appropriately trained, hazards are addressed quickly, and incidents are investigated thoroughly
- Monitor performance against operational and financial targets, identifying opportunities for cost savings, productivity improvements and enhanced customer service
- Build strong relationships with customers, operational support teams and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution and operational alignment
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous leadership experience within a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment
- Strong people management and coaching skills, with experience developing teams and driving operational performance
- Experience managing KPIs, productivity, service levels and continuous improvement initiatives
- Good understanding of warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
