Role Description

The Shift Manager role at Domino’s Pizza South Wales is a part-time, on-site position based in Aberdare. The Shift Manager oversees day-to-day store operations during assigned shifts, including managing the team, monitoring order flow, and ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service.

  • Coordinating staff schedules
  • Supporting training and coaching
  • Handling customer queries or concerns
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Supporting cash handling procedures
  • Following company policies and health and safety guidelines

The role also involves working closely with the Store Manager to help meet sales targets and deliver an efficient, positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or leading a team in retail, hospitality, or food service, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues during busy periods.
  • Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, a friendly manner, and the ability to handle complaints or issues professionally.
  • Basic organizational and time-management skills to manage shift priorities, coordinate tasks, and follow procedures consistently.
  • Ability to work on-site in Aberdare, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for part-time shift coverage.
  • Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and following cash-handling and basic reporting procedures; numeracy skills are beneficial.
  • Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and health and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen and delivery environment.
  • Reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn Domino’s processes; previous pizza or quick-service restaurant experience is an advantage but not essential.
