Overview
Our Warehouse Shift Managers lead teams of Zone Managers across two distribution sites in Stoke, encompassing over 1 million sq. ft. of warehousing space. While you will primarily be based at one site, flexibility to work across both locations is required to support operational needs.
Our distribution centres play a vital role in delivering products to customers through multiple channels, including store replenishment, e-commerce, internal distribution, and two-person home delivery services.

As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will lead the people, processes, and performance within your operational area, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations that consistently exceed key performance indicators.
You will be responsible for creating an environment where colleagues can thrive, maintaining high operational standards, and proactively managing health and safety risks to ensure a safe workplace for everyone.

What you'll be doing
- Take accountability for the performance, safety, and operational standards within your area.
- Maintain a customer-first mindset, ensuring decisions support both internal and external customer requirements.
- Deliver against operational deadlines and performance targets.
- Analyse and interpret operational data to drive performance improvements and informed decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, peers, and senior leadership teams, providing clear updates on performance and challenges.
- Make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure.
- Support operational requirements by demonstrating flexibility across shifts, weekends, and different areas of the business when required.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across the distribution centre.

What we'll look for in you
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and motivate teams.
- Confidence to challenge existing processes and contribute ideas that improve performance, safety, and colleague experience.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
- Strong IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP or Warehouse Management Systems would be advantageous.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond positively to changing business needs.
- Proven ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- A reliable, trustworthy, and team-oriented mindset.
- A proactive, performance-driven approach with people at the heart of every decision.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or similar leadership role is desirable.
