The Role

The Production Shift Lead holds full accountability for their production area, working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the efficient flow of work through the factory and that products are supplied on time, to customer specification. They are responsible for all people management tasks within their shift as well as identifying continuous improvement initiatives.

Working a 3 shift rotation of 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

  • Qualification in Continuous Improvement.
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH).
  • HACCP Level 2.
  • Qualification ILM 3.
  • Experience with SAP or Infor M3 ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making ability to improve quality and operational efficiency.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to thrive in pressurised environments.
  • Ability to multi-task and utilise resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment with tight timelines.
  • Highly motivated with a high level of initiative; inspires confidence to work independently and in support of department goals and business objectives.
  • Ability to build good, professional relationships.
