Pay Rate: £36,500 to £42,000

Grade: M

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: any 5 from 7 Rotational Shifts hours to be discussed at Interview

Location: Gloucester

We're now looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our operations and drive success.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and lead warehouse operatives during the shift, ensuring all picking, packing, loading, and dispatch activities run efficiently.
  • Allocate and manage workloads to meet daily targets, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and resolve operational issues such as delays, stock discrepancies, or equipment problems in real time.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety procedures, company policies, and warehouse operating standards at all times.
  • Communicate with warehouse management and other departments at shift handover, providing updates on performance, issues, and completed tasks.

This Role Would Suit People Who

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a minimum of 12 months' experience supervising or leading a warehouse or logistics team.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, ensuring full compliance and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate between warehouse staff, transport teams, and management to ensure smooth operations.
