Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: East Yorkshire

Salary: £56,167 + Overtime & Excellent Benefits (Including Private Healthcare)

Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)

We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in East Yorkshire that is investing heavily in its engineering team.

The Role

As a Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving plant reliability. You’ll be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, working as part of a multi-skilled team to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely.

  • Planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
  • Electrical fault finding and repair, including motors, control panels and PLC fault finding
  • Mechanical maintenance on conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics
  • Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety standards
  • Carrying out continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime

What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served Engineer with strong electrical skills and relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a process, manufacturing, chemical or FMCG environment
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (LOTO, Risk Assessments, Permit to Work, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively in a rotating 12-hour shift pattern (Days & Nights)
  • Knowledge of PLC fault finding and control systems
