Shift Based Technical Team - Multi Skilled Technician Vacancy
Due to the exciting restructure of the Deeside End Plant, we are looking to strengthen our technical team by recruiting Multiskilled Technicians to ensure robust 24/7 maintenance coverage and technical support.
We strongly encourage candidates to apply for the position of Shift-Based Multiskilled Technician, joining our existing technical shift team. This role reports to the Production Team Leader, with functional responsibility to the Technical Team Leaders.
Purpose of function / main tasks:
- Work safely while performing routine and non-routine tasks
- Carry out general workshop duties, including rework of used parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment faults
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support training and development of apprentices and team members
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure a safe, organized work environment compliant with food safety
Professional Requirements:
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Education: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent City and Guilds, ONC and HNC In electrical or mechanical engineering
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) - For those with an electrical bias
- Experience with Siemens S7 and TIA portal - For those with an electrical bias
- Fabricating/Machining/Welding skills - For those with a mechanical bias
- Maintenance engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience with robots (Fanuc + Kuka) desirable
- Have a strong experience in diagnosing and rectifying running faults
- Methodical approach with strong attention to detail
- Highly flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team, prioritizing safety
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take responsibility

Working Pattern:
- 4 x 12 hours shifts: 2 days 2 nights / 4 off
- Fixed rota with 5 x 18-day holiday breaks per annum.
Package:
- Circa: £58,100 per annum (including shift allowance)
- Individual Private health care
- KPI bonus Scheme
- Company Pension Scheme
