Job Opportunity at Ardagh Metal Packaging

We are looking to recruit highly motivated and skilled members to join the second stage of the Deeside restructure and become part of our Production team at Ardagh Metal Packaging’s Deeside End manufacturing facility.

Reporting to a Shift Team Leader

You will work as part of a shift-based team with the aim of supporting and running production machinery to help achieve all our plants major KPIs:

  • Health and Safety
  • Sustainability
  • Quality
  • Efficiency
  • Spoilage
  • Cost

Key Responsibilities

Your primary role as a Process Technician L200 is to ensure the Safety, Quality, and Quantity of the production process. You will work as part of a production team including other Process Technicians, Production Technicians, and a Technical team where you will be responsible for running the process and reacting to breakdowns and process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring there is adequate monitoring of the production process.
  • Ensuring the optimum efficiency and continuation of the production process.
  • Ensuring all process controls are monitored and correct.
  • Ensuring all Quality Assurance checks are completed.
  • Troubleshooting and Fault resolution.
  • React and Resolve Machine / Process breakdowns.
  • Working to Company/Plant Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements & Experience

  • Ability to demonstrate safe working practices.
  • Computer Skills as role requires ability to input data across several different computer systems.
  • Able to work well and effectively in a team.
  • Good communicator to all levels.
  • A willingness to extend your range of required skills.
  • A willingness to support and develop others.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
  • Experience within a fast speed, high volume manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Workshop based or Operator maintainer experience required.
  • Experience in 5s and Lean manufacturing is desirable.

Education

  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • BTEC/NVQ - Level 3 or above in Engineering/manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Languages – Fluent in written and spoken English.

Working Pattern

4 x 12 hour shifts. 2 days 2 nights / 4 off. Fixed rota with 5 fixed 18 day holiday breaks per annum.
