Shift Production Manager

Gloucester

GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 + Benefits

Working a rotating day and night shift pattern

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Production Manager to join a well established manufacturing business in Gloucester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader with experience in a fast-paced production environment to join a business investing heavily in its operations and future growth. You'll be responsible for leading a production team, driving operational performance, and ensuring safety, quality and productivity targets are achieved.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead production teams across shift operations
  • Drive performance against production, quality and safety KPIs
  • Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met
  • Lead, motivate and develop team leaders and operators
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor labour utilisation, efficiency and operational costs
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and company procedures
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to optimise performance
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager
  • Strong leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive performance improvements
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Health and Safety focused approach
  • Experience within FMCG, Food, Packaging, Automotive, Chemical or General Manufacturing environments would be advantageous
