As Shift Production Manager

As Shift Production Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the bakery, coordinating people, resources and activities to ensure production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and profitably. You'll lead by example, champion continuous improvement, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Shift:

  • 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights 6.30am - 6.30pm/6.30pm - 6.30am

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop operational teams to create a high-performance culture.
  • Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, service, cost and people performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Safety and Quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Technical, Finance, HR and other key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Use operational and financial data to identify trends, improve efficiency and increase profitability.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and deliver measurable business benefits.
  • Manage labour planning, succession planning, recruitment, retention and colleague development.
  • Support audits and ensure the site remains inspection-ready at all times.

  • Proven experience in a Production Manager or equivalent leadership role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality Management Systems and HACCP.
  • Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A track record of delivering continuous improvement and operational performance gains.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading change and building high-performing teams.
