The Role
The technical team are looking to fill the role of Shift Injection Moulding Setter. As a member of the setting team, you will work as part of a team and be responsible for following the production plan ensuring tools are changed in accordance with site procedures. Maintaining a close working relationship with all departments to ensure priority plans are followed and any unforeseen stoppages are addressed in a timely and safe manner ensuring we achieve production company targets and objectives, promoting operational excellence at all times.
Panama Shift Pattern:
- On - 2 Days, 2 Nights
- Off - 5 Days
- On - 2 Days, 3 Nights
- Off - 4 Days
- On - 3 Days, 2 Nights
- Off - 5 Days

Total Cycle Length: 28 days (14 days On, 14 days Off)
As a Shift Setter at IPL you will:
- Carry out basic first line maintenance of tools (level to be agreed)
- Fully understanding the manufacturing plans and being able to action those plans accordingly ensuring machines are set up to specification.
- Ensure daily/weekly safety checks are completed OTIF and documented
- To ensure that mould tools are safely installed and machines are properly set, so that the products being manufactured are in accordance to the Specification Sheet and control sample.
- Ensuring the correct materials and stocks are used in the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that workspaces and tools are maintained and stores/ used in correct manner and any maintenance activity required is carried out leaving workspaces in clean and tidy condition.
- Monitor the quality of products produced against customer specification sheets and apply and remedial actions to any substandard products / production techniques.
- Ensuring all manufacturing documentation, machine operation and labelling is correct and suitable for its purpose and act as specialist support to production
- Encourage and drive efficient and effective working practices within the department.
- Support queries and questions in regard to material or product issues and obtain support from the necessary personnel to help resolve in a timely fashion.
- Communicate daily with the production team on any significant technical issues and report any issues which may impact production targets/ schedules.
- Support operators in all manufacturing processes to achieve best performance and best manufacturing practices.

What You Will Bring to the Role
- Minimum level 3 industry recognised qualification in polymer processing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in injection moulding operations.
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines and equipment.
- Familiarity with various plastic resins and their processing characteristics.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of mould setup and maintenance procedures.
- Understanding of quality control standards and inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
