Role Description
The Shift Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at the Taco Bell restaurant in Leicester. This role oversees daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, monitoring food safety and cleanliness standards, and ensuring that all team members follow company policies and quality guidelines. The Shift Supervisor coordinates staffing and break schedules, supports and coaches team members, and helps resolve customer concerns in a professional, guest-focused manner. They assist with cash handling, inventory checks, and reporting, while working alongside the team to prepare food, serve guests, and maintain a welcoming environment. The role also involves supporting training efforts, reinforcing Taco Bell’s culture and values, and contributing to meeting sales and service targets during each shift.

- Experience in shift leadership or supervisory roles within retail, hospitality, or food service, with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and handling feedback effectively.
- Operational skills including basic cash handling, point-of-sale system use, and adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage busy shifts, prioritize tasks, and respond calmly to unexpected situations.
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to perform tasks that may involve standing for long periods.
- Previous quick service restaurant experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills; formal education to high school level or equivalent is preferred.
