Job Title: Shift Team Leader
Location: Rugby, CV21 1HA
Job Length: Permanent
Working Hours: Average of 42 hours per week, working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. Rotating between days (7am to 7pm) and nights (7pm to 7am).

For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the role:
If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Shift Team Leader. Reporting to the Production Unit Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Site vision and the strategic plan for the shift and support the achievement of the company vision.
- Deliver the Business Unit Safety, Quality, Cost (OEE and Waste) and Service targets for your team.
- Create a safety first culture by establishing a safe working environment, safe working practices and safety conscious behaviours amongst your team.
- Accountable for safety across your area; providing appropriate guidance, leadership, accountability and empowerment to your team to create a culture of Safety in this area.
- Ensure consistent quality standards by applying approved manufacturing and quality procedures.
- Ensure the team has a high level of engagement in reporting and resolving safety and GMDP concerns.
- Effective implementation of quality plans, standard operating procedures to deliver right first time and consumer complaint reduction.
- Support the Safety, AIB and GMDP audit processes including the closure of associated actions.
- Cost effective labour utilisation and flexing when required, and promote staff development to meet operational requirements.
- Forward planning of labour requirements for your shift, dependent on production plans, absence and training/development work.
- Drive the training plan and ensure training records are up to date.
- Effectively support communication strategies within the site.
- Ensure Business Unit performance is driven from a people, process and machine point of view on a daily basis e.g. Short Internal Control (SIC) and people reviews.
- Responsibility for the resourcing budget control.
- Drive lean manufacturing principles that ensure efficient, cost effective operations across the plant.
- Lead Zero Loss activity with your shift team.
- Adherence to process capability to provide product consistency.

Experience and Key Attributes:
- Essential: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment including a minimum of 2 years as a team leader/shift manager or equivalent with proven leadership skills.
- Safety: Appetite to drive safety improvements through team engagement and company HSE initiatives.
- People: At Carlsberg Britvic, we care deeply about our brands, our role in society and our impact on the planet. But, above all, it’s the happiness and health of our people that always comes first. As a Shift Team Leader – your role would entail everything from Reward and Recognition, regular 121 reviews with your team including development and training plans, to being the lead in investigations.
- Line Performance/Area Performance: Keen technical mindset with a desire to continuously improve people, process and machine.
- Lean: Experience of driving lean manufacturing principles for both cost effectiveness and team engagement. Strong ability to work in a team, whilst being able to lead, work on own initiatives and delegate to other functions. Clear communication to all levels including to Leadership team.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP and WMS.
