Shift Team Manager

Overview

Reporting to the Departmental Manufacturing Manager, the Shift Team Manager is key to the success of the team. In leading the shift team of 10-50 employees, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring the shift delivers against the agreed targets in terms of Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost.

Responsibilities

  • Safety: site safety systems fully implemented, e.g., accident investigation, incident management, safe systems of work, etc.
  • Quality: all quality systems fully implemented, e.g., CCP’s, manufacturing instructions, quality checks, etc.
  • Performance: delivery of all production KPIs, e.g., OEE, plan conformance. Completion of daily OMR data and lead role in the OMR meeting.
  • People Management: e.g., delivery of a robust PDP process for up to 30 team members, development, and delivery of plans for crew training and capability development. Full completion of RTW interviews and application of Positive Attendance Management. Undertake disciplinary and grievance procedures as required.
  • Cost: Effective variable cost management, e.g., ensuring compliance with all SAP procedures, robust control of direct labor and material usage, active participation in departmental cost reduction programmes.
  • Change Management: positively engaged with departmental change initiatives and NPD.
  • Personal Development: energetic in all aspects of own personal development. The expectancy to complete the TM development modules and validation matrix supported by the Training Manager and Manufacturing Manager.
