SHIFT TECHNICIAN - DATA CENTRE | IN-HOUSE OPPORTUNITY
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Technician to join an established data centre operation on an in-house basis. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong engineer looking to work directly within a critical environment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across key M&E infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across critical infrastructure
- Respond to reactive maintenance and equipment breakdowns
- Monitor and maintain electrical and mechanical systems
- Support the safe operation of critical M&E plant
- Complete routine inspections and identify potential faults
- Assist with fault finding and corrective maintenance
- Follow SOPs, EOPs, RAMS and Permit to Work procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift logs
- Work closely with the wider engineering team and specialist contractors
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures

Ideal Background

- Previous experience within a Data Centre, Critical Environment, Commercial Building or similar
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance background
- Experience with critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, HVAC, BMS, LV systems and cooling
- Comfortable working on a continental shift pattern
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work
- Electrical qualifications are highly desirable
