The Opportunity
We are looking for Shipper/Receiver (Forklift and Clamp truck operators) for our Whitby location.
Shift: Rotating 12 hr Shift and wage: $25.76/hr Start / $26.33/hr 6 Months / $26.88/hr 12 Months / $27.45/hr 18 Months
What You’ll Do
- Work in a team environment and be a team player
- Understand the company’s quality system, how it works and how you affect the quality system
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Complete safety check at the start of your shift on the forklift and operate the equipment with care and control
- Check and follow shipping instructions
- Check all trailers for debris, damage and sweep out trailers as applicable
- Properly store and locate orders in the warehouse
- Ensure all paperwork for incoming and outbound loads is completed correctly
- Correct any non-conformances before loading
- Load order onto trailers as instructed
- Remove units from the unitizer line
- Ensure correct cargo securement and loading pattern has been used
- Follow all CTPAT procedures
- Report any issues to your Supervisor/Manager as/if they occur
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
- Abide by all plant rules, safety rules, COVID 19 and regulations of the Company

What You Bring
- Previous Forklift experience required and must have a valid forklift license
- Must have good communication skills
- Must participate fully in QWG & Safety meetings
- Regular attendance required
- Willing to follow all company policies and COVID-19 related protocols as per the company requirements
