The Role

As a Shipper / Sales Coordinator, you will coordinate the daily activities of a designated area within the National Customer Support Centre, ensuring our customers receive a first-class experience from enquiry through to order fulfilment.

Working closely with Area Sales Managers and internal teams, you will be at the heart of our customer operations, helping to maximise sales opportunities while delivering outstanding support and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and action daily call plans.
  • Receive, process, and coordinate customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare, price, and process quotations.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to every customer interaction.
  • Proactively pursue sales leads and support business growth.
  • Build strong working relationships with Area Sales Managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues within agreed service levels.
  • Maintain high standards of customer care in line with the Heidelberg Materials Service Charter.
  • Support the wider team and contribute to the smooth running of the National Customer Support Centre.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by your manager.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an organised and motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service.

You will ideally have:

  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
  • The confidence to build relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of SAP (advantageous but not essential).
