Location: Widnes
Salary: £32,633 per annum (£16.73 per hour)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible between 8:00am and 6:00pm)

Shipping Coordinator - Widnes
Kinetic Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Shipping Coordinator on behalf of a leading global manufacturing company based in Widnes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of finished goods from production through to customer delivery. Working closely with production, warehousing, customer service and freight partners, you'll help ensure shipments are delivered accurately and on time while supporting the wider supply chain operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate outbound shipments alongside the warehouse team.
- Arrange domestic and international shipments via road, sea and air freight forwarders.
- Prepare all shipping documentation, including quality certificates.
- Support daily and weekly production plans to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and production run rates to assist with inbound shipment planning.
- Coordinate stock transfers between manufacturing sites and external warehouse facilities.
- Liaise with the central Customer Service team to support the Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) function.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Assist with warehouse duties when required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety, Environmental and company procedures.
- Provide additional support to the logistics team as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of three years' experience within a Shipping Coordinator, Shipping Administrator or Logistics Administration role.
- Previous experience using SAP.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Import and Export knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A flexible approach to supporting the needs of a busy logistics operation.
