Job Description

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 16:30

We're looking for a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to join our Wotton, Surrey site. Reporting to the Global Warehouse and Inventory Manager, you'll ensure the timely, compliant and cost-effective movement of manufactured and procured products, coordinating parcel and freight shipments across the UK, EU and Rest of World.

What You'll Bring

  • Book and coordinate all parcel and freight/pallet shipments, selecting the most appropriate carrier and service level for cost, speed and compliance.
  • Handle shipments for all returns.
  • Handle import/export compliance, including customs documentation, commercial invoices, and tariff/country of origin classification.
  • Source, compare and document freight quotes, linking costs to customer invoices.
  • Coordinate weekly shipment consolidation for key accounts.
  • Maintain delivery schedules, proactively chasing and resolving due date slippage.
  • Track and report shipment costs, identifying trends or savings opportunities.
  • Liaise with Sales, Customer Service/Planning, Warehouse and Finance to resolve shipping queries and ensure accurate order fulfilment.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and spreadsheets, supporting data integrity for reporting.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives within the shipping function.
  • Ensure all activity complies with relevant health & safety, export control and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a shipping, freight or logistics coordination role, ideally within a regulated or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of import/export documentation and trade/customs compliance.
  • Strong Excel skills; comfortable working with data and spreadsheets daily.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise across departments and with external carriers.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems (specifically Oracle Cloud) is an advantage.
