About the Role

An international law firm is seeking a Shipping Disputes Associate to join its established maritime litigation and arbitration practice. The role offers exposure to complex, cross-border shipping, trade and offshore disputes for a global client base.

Client Details

Our client is a highly respected international law firm with a strong reputation in the shipping and international trade sectors. The team advises shipowners, insurers, commodities businesses, energy companies, and financial institutions on a broad range of contentious matters across key global markets.

Description

You will work on a wide variety of shipping and trade disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and advisory matters with international elements. The role will involve:

  • Drafting legal documents
  • Conducting technical research
  • Liaising directly with clients, experts, and counsel
  • Managing matters
  • Supporting business development initiatives

Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with ideally 3+ years' PQE
  • Experience in shipping disputes or a strong interest in the maritime sector
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage matters effectively and build strong client relationships
