Leading City based international bank seek a Ship Finance Analyst to join the banks Shipping Finance team

Role Type: Permanent Officer level

Salary: £50,000 - £58,000+ Benefits

Hybrid Working

City Location

Essential Experience: Circa 18 months to 2 years’ experience in portfolio management (Shipping Finance preferred but not essential) working for a bank ideally in a middle office function actively engaged in international syndicated lending

About the Role

Support the ongoing management, monitoring and reporting of loans in the Shipping Finance portfolio across the EMEA and N American regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing Ship Finance transactions, including regular credit risk assessment and “close monitoring” of Watch List cases
  • Manage loan agreements and the periodic covenant monitoring and reporting of Ship Finance loans
  • Ongoing management of each loan, which includes (but not limited to), terms amendment requests and Insurance renewals.
  • Manage and respond to any requests for waivers or other changes to facilities
  • Coordinate the regular Asset Assessment process for the Ship Finance portfolio

Essential Experience Required

  • Experience from an international banking environment ideally working within Ship Finance
  • Excellent Credit Analysis skills, numeracy and familiarity with financial and credit analysis techniques
  • Working for a bank ideally in a middle office function actively engaged in international syndicated lending
