Job Description
Join Amaris Consulting as a Logistics Coordinator
Contribute to high-impact projects within the aerospace and engineering scope. You will support logistics, shipping, inventory coordination, and regulatory compliance activities for sensitive technical equipment, working closely with technical, procurement, compliance, and external partner teams.
Your missions
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of satellite components, ground equipment, and support materials.
- Select, coordinate, and monitor specialist couriers and freight forwarders to ensure secure and timely deliveries.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export control paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations, UK Export Control requirements, and relevant ITAR/EAR processes.
- Liaise with customs brokers, logistics providers, and government bodies when required.
- Coordinate inbound logistics and maintain accurate records of received parts and equipment.
- Support stock control activities and align deliveries with engineering, procurement, and build schedules.
- Evaluate logistics processes and recommend improvements to strengthen efficiency, cost control, and project delivery.
Your profile
- Experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination, ideally within aerospace, defence, high-tech manufacturing, or another regulated technical environment.
- Knowledge of UK customs regulations, export control processes, international freight requirements, and secure handling standards for sensitive equipment.
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems, Microsoft Excel, and shipment tracking platforms; SAP S/4HANA knowledge is a plus.
- Academic background in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, such as an HNC/HND or degree.
- English fluent.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are demonstrated in daily work.
- Clear communication skills and a problem-solving mindset support effective coordination with technical teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Autonomy, reliability, and adaptability are demonstrated in a dynamic project environment.
