At Naomi and Jack's, every purchase helps support children, young adults and families when they need it most. We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Shop Assistant to help drive the success of our busy charity shop while delivering an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
What You'll Do
Working alongside the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the shop, helping to maximise sales while creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for customers and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Under the guidance and direction of and working with the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager you will:
- Help to achieve sales targets through effective stock rotation, pricing and merchandising
- Create an attractive shop floor and window display that encourage customers to return
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the shop
- Support cash handling, till reconciliation, daily banking and ensure financial procedures are followed
- In collaboration with the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager help to ensure a safe environment by following Health & Safety and Fire Safety requirements.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers to support the shops ongoing success.
- Deliver excellent customer service

Working Hours
Working 2 to 3 days per week (days and hours of work will be discussed further at interview).
Hourly rate of pay £13.45
Eligibility and Commitment
You will need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.
