Shop Assistant - Full-Time

SPAR Firies, Killarney, Co. Kerry, is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Full-Time Shop Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for a person who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

  • Provide a friendly, efficient, and professional service to all customers
  • Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately
  • Assist customers with product queries and purchases
  • Replenish stock and ensure shelves are fully stocked and well presented
  • Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and organisation
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the store as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store objectives
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements
  • Contribute to a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Previous retail experience is desirable
  • Friendly, positive, and professional approach to customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
  • Comfortable handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Must be legally permitted to sell alcohol and tobacco products
