Shop Assistant - Full-Time
SPAR Firies, Killarney, Co. Kerry, is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Full-Time Shop Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for a person who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- Provide a friendly, efficient, and professional service to all customers
- Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately
- Assist customers with product queries and purchases
- Replenish stock and ensure shelves are fully stocked and well presented
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and organisation
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Support the day-to-day operation of the store as required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store objectives
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements
- Contribute to a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous retail experience is desirable
- Friendly, positive, and professional approach to customers and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Must be legally permitted to sell alcohol and tobacco products
