About the Role
As a Shop Assistant at Oseyo, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent shopping experience for customers. You will support the day-to-day running of the store by providing friendly customer service, maintaining high standards of presentation, and assisting with stock and sales activities.
Starting salary: if you are aged 21 or above, your starting salary will be £12.85 per hour; if you are aged 20 or under, your starting salary will be £11.00 per hour.

Requirements
- To meet the operational requirements of this role, you are expected to maintain availability to work both morning and evening shifts across at least five days each week.
- Availability for both morning and evening shifts.
- Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Interest in Korean and Asian food products is an advantage.
- Korean, Chinese, Japanese or any other east or south east asian language skill is welcomed but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Providing excellent service in every interaction with our customers, delivering great shopping experiences, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
- Operating till transactions securely and accurately based on till operational procedures.
- Receiving, processing, and organising store deliveries which includes moving potentially heavy boxes up and down flights of stairs.
- Ensuring that products are displayed and replenished in line with the Company’s standards and the compliance with First-In-First-Out stock rotation system.
- Maintaining knowledge of store products to provide advice and recommendations to customers as needed.
- Assisting customers in locating desired items.
- Handling food products and ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are complied.
- Maintaining Health and Safety standards.
- General cleaning and maintenance of shop.
- Safely lift and move items weighing up to 23kg on a regular basis as part of stocking, merchandising, and inventory tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
