Shop Manager
Location: Lochgilphead
Salary: £24,969 per annum pro rata
Hours: 21 per week (3 days per week between Monday-Saturday)
Contract: Permanent
Are you ready to take the lead and make your mark in the heart of Argyll whilst supporting a fabulous cause?
We're searching for an ambitious Shop Manager to take ownership of our Lochgilphead store and help shape its future success. From leading and developing your team to delivering excellent customer experiences and achieving sales targets, you'll play a key role in making the store a place customers love to visit and colleagues are proud to work in.

What will a day in the life of a Shop Manager involve?
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of staff and volunteers to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Driving shop performance by achieving sales targets and maximising income opportunities.
- Creating an attractive, well-presented shopping environment that inspires customers and supports our cause.
- Overseeing all day-to-day shop operations, from front-of-house activity to behind-the-scenes processes.
- Acting as an ambassador for the British Red Cross, promoting our values and making a positive impact in the local community.

To be a successful Shop Manager, what will you need?
- Previous retail experience in a supervisory or management role, with strong customer service and cash-handling skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, helping people perform at their best.
- Commercially minded, with the initiative and drive to achieve sales targets and deliver results.
- Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office, with good administrative and organisational skills.
- Passionate about the British Red Cross and able to promote the shop within the local community, building support for our cause.
